Abstract

Deciding to be the subject of a euthanasia procedure triggers a series of ethical and moral disjunctives, not only in the head of the patient who suffers without remedy but also in the bosom of his family, society and the State. Bioethical principles are useful tools to solve such dilemmas, always in a context of respect for the healthy exercise of the self-determination of the patient who requests \'dignified death\'.
