Abstract
Research has shown that gender violence can be avoided with repeated interventions in different scenarios. This study refers to the design and implementation of a prevention program to promote the development of competencies, in future teachers, in order to tackle gender violence. Participate 265 students of the Master\'s Degree in Teaching Staff of Secondary Education, Vocational Training and LanguageTeaching, what enables them to be teachers, in Secondary Education, to professionals from different specialties in Spain. The qualitative and quantitative analysis of the findings show a high degree of usefulness of the experience for professional performance and to promote collaborative work competencies. The difficulties pointed out by the participants refer especially to finding bibliographic sources and adequate materials for the prevention of gender violence and the design of appropriate activities for Secondary Education students. The findings show that an ecosystemic-constructivist university education with a gender focus is necessary.
