Abstract
This study explores the effects of climate change on plant phenology within Mediterranean ecosystems, focusing on shifts in flowering and fruiting times. Utilizing satellite imagery and ground-based observations, we analyzed data from 2000 to 2020. Findings indicate significant alterations in phenological cycles, with earlier spring events and prolonged growing seasons. These shifts have implications for ecosystem services and biodiversity conservation. We discuss adaptive strategies for mitigating adverse impacts and enhancing ecosystem resilience.
