Abstract

Invasive plant species are a significant threat to biodiversity in wetland ecosystems around the world. These species often outcompete native plants, leading to reduced species richness and altered ecosystem functions. This study investigates the ecological impacts of common invasive plants on native biodiversity within various wetland habitats. By employing field surveys and experimental removal plots, we assess changes in plant community composition, soil chemistry, and hydrological dynamics. Our findings suggest that targeted management strategies are needed to mitigate the impacts of invasive species and preserve wetland biodiversity.
