Abstract

The increasing demand for food production necessitates the application of advanced agricultural technologies to optimize crop yields sustainably. This study investigates the integration of precision agriculture techniques to enhance crop production across varied agro-climatic zones. The primary objective is to evaluate the effectiveness of precision farming technologies, including remote sensing, soil sensors, and data analytics, in improving crop yield and resource management. A series of field trials were conducted in Portugal, Azerbaijan, and Senegal, representing distinct climatic conditions, to assess the applicability and impact of these technologies. The findings indicate significant improvements in yield, with a notable reduction in water and fertilizer usage. Precision agriculture techniques led to optimized planting schedules and enhanced pest management strategies. The results underscore the potential of precision agriculture to enhance food security while minimizing environmental impacts. The study concludes that adopting precision farming methods is crucial for sustainable agricultural transformation, particularly in regions facing climate variability. Future research should focus on the cost-effectiveness and scalability of these technologies to ensure broader implementation.
