Abstract

Special education has long been a field necessitating diverse instructional strategies tailored to individual learning needs. This study aims to evaluate the efficacy of multisensory approaches in enhancing educational outcomes for students with special needs. Utilizing a mixed-methods design, the research involved the implementation of auditory, visual, and kinesthetic learning strategies across varying special education settings. Data were collected from 150 students, incorporating both quantitative measures of academic performance and qualitative feedback from educators. Findings indicate that a multisensory approach significantly improves engagement and comprehension among students with diverse learning disabilities. Educators reported increased student motivation and participation, corroborated by improved academic scores in mathematics and language arts. The study concludes that integrating multisensory strategies is critical in developing personalized education plans that cater to the unique needs of students with disabilities. Further research is recommended to explore the long-term impacts of such interventions and their applicability across different educational contexts.
