Rod mill is vital equipment in industries viz. mineral dressing, ore processing, fertilizers, food and diary, pharmaceuticals and many others. The present work involves an experimental study of the effect of the various parameters studied in this work are rods size, grinding time and ground angle on fine grinding mass specific energy consumption of fine grinding and the product fineness of limestone powder was studied experimentally using a pilot scale rod mill. The product particle size distribution and mass specific energy consumption were determined with respect to the above variables. Finally, the optimum condition for the grinding of the limestone with rod mill was obtained. The results from this study showed that the ground angle are the most important parameters rather than rods size and grinding time in terms of mass specific energy consumption.
The objective of this research is to illustrate the effectiveness of the thermal\nrelaxation time based on the theory of Lord-Shulman (L-S), Coriolis and\nCentrifugal Forces on the reflection coefficients of plane waves in an anisotropic\nmagneto-thermoelastic medium. Assuming the elastic medium is rotating with\nstable angular velocity and the imposed magnetic field is parallel to the boundary\nof the half-space. The basic equations of a transversely isotropic rotating magnetothermoelastic medium are formulated according to thermoelasticity theory of LordShulman (L-S). Next to that, getting the velocity equation which is illustrated to\nshow existence of three quasi-plane waves propagating in the medium. The\namplitude ratios coefficients of these plane waves have been given and then\ncomputed numerically and plotted graphically to demonstrate the influences of the\nrotation on the Zinc material.
Abstract\nBackground: Umbilical granuloma is the commonest umbilical lesion in the neonates. Several treatment options were proposed. The objective of this study is to report our experience and the outcomes of local excision of the umbilical granuloma prior to silver nitrate cauterization.\nMethod: During a 12-year period, 243 infants were presented to our outpatient clinic with umbilical granuloma after the failure of medical treatment with local alcohol and antibiotics application. Local excision of the granuloma was performed under complete aseptic conditions followed by silver nitrate cauterization in all patients. Patients were discharged with home care instructions and returned for a follow-up visit after 1 and 2 weeks of the procedure. \nResults: The study included 129 girls (53%) and 114 boys (47%). Mean age at presentation was 41 days and ranged from 9 to 49 days and weight was 3512 grams (range: 1524-4231 grams). 5% of the patients had associated umbilical hernia. 100 patients achieved complete healing after 1 week. 143 patients achieved complete healing in the second-week follow-up visit and no complications or treatment failure were reported.\nConclusion: local excision of the umbilical granuloma prior to silver nitrate cauterization is a safe and effective outpatient procedure even if associated with an umbilical hernia.
By reviewing various previous studies on rice products, this mini review elaborates the picture of production of rice paper, especially nutrition and technology process. Rice paper originated in Vietnam as a traditional food. It was consumed a huge quantity in Vietnam and can be used every meal in Vietnamese. Besides, rice paper production can improve the income of local citizens.
In the course of an orthodontic treatment, careful planning for its success is essential, taking into account aspects such as facial harmony, functional occlusion and aesthetics. The anchoring system has been widely used by orthodontists because of its high level of success, in addition to replacing the use of extra and intraoral devices, the mini-implants show a simple technique that does not require patient cooperation and less annoyance, allowing more movements predictable and balanced in a short time of treatment. This study aims to report the types of mini-implants and their characteristics so that we have a general knowledge of orthodontic treatment with skeletal anchorage. The mini-implants are made in two types such as: the self-threading that requires a drill and the self-drilling that has a cut. Their use provides advantages as a set of more agile, simple and less invasive techniques, presenting minimal anatomical limitations, less cost, not depending on the patient\'s contribution, allowing the application of immediate loading and increased predictability of movements. Disadvantages are considered when movement and loosening of the mini-implant, involvement of nerves and blood vessels during surgery, irritation of the mucosa and gingival hyperplasia caused by poor hygiene causing pain and swelling.
Disruptive behavior disorders of early childhood pose major challenges for parents and their children. They may also be an indicator for current or future mental illness. The aim of the study was evaluating the effect of parent interaction training program on parenting stress and child behaviors among children. The subjects were thirty six of parents of children with Disruptive behavior disorders were sequentially allocated to the study. The parents divided randomly into two group study group (received parent training program for 15 sessions) and control group (received routine as usual). A randomized controlled trail was conducted at Institute of Children, center of children with special needs. Two tools were used to measure the current study variables, Eyberg Child Behavior Inventory and Parent- stress Index – short form, at the begging and at the end of the intervention program in both groups. The results of the study revealed that statistical significant differences were found between child’s behaviors after intervention training program than pre. to conclude, parent child interaction therapy has a salutary effect on children with Disruptive behavior disorders and its parents. Further studies are needed to get expansive enhancement in parent-child interaction and generalization of such interventions.
This work focuses on the development of chlorella-enriched beverages. The beverage samples contained chlorella concentrations ranging from 1.2 to 2 g / L of fruit juice. The physico-chemical analyzes showed that the protein content increased as well as the pH and the solids content. It was decided that the dose of 1.2 g / L was the most appreciated by a tasting panel. A protein intake was provided by the addition of chlorella, reinforcing its nutritional quality. We also observed a modification of the mineral fraction, which was reinforced. With its internal pigmentation chlorella has brought a high content of chlorophyll and carotenoids. \nKey words: Drinks, chlorella, elaboration, enrichment, physicochemical quality
Teaching methods in institutions have changed, and thus new requirements include educating students to become the main participants in the evolution of current information society. Collaborative learning is one of the methods to improve learning with the help of information and communication. This paper shows the analysis that was made with the application of a measuring instrument, a Likert scale survey where 1 represents the lowest value and 5 the highest value where the degree of internal consistency of the scale was determined. The instrument on collaborative work was applied in a higher education institution. The objective was to show the results obtained regarding challenges of collaborative work and the proposal of a methodology for collaborative learning: APCO.
This study aimed to investigate the modulating effects of rutin against hepatotoxicity of MSG on rats through measurement of lipidperoxidation, total antioxidant, Bcl-2, caspase-1, DNA fragmentation and comet assay .60 male rats divided into 6 groups which are , the first group (control group) , the 2nd and 3rd administrated with 25 , 50 mg/kg b.wt of Rutin, respectively , the 4th group administrated with 8 mg/kg b.wt of MSG .The 5th and 6thgroups administrated with MSG + Rutin ( 25 ,50 mg/kg b.wt ), respectively , all administrations were orally gavage for 4 successive weeks. A significant increase in lipid peroxidation was showed, while there is a reduction in total antioxidant activity in MSG group, However , the two doses of Rutin improved these disorders. MSG caused down regulation of Bcl-2 protein and increases the caspase-1 level ,while treatment with Rutin increased the Bcl-2 content and reduced caspase-1 level. MSG only showed faint , smear genomic DNA and an increase in DNA strand breaks in the hepatic tissue cells. However, treatment with Rutin 25 mg or 50 mg enhanced these disorders .In conclusion, our results confirmed the effective role of rutin against MSG induced hepatotoxicity in male rats.
Fluoride helps in the interception and prevention of tooth decay, so since 1975 its addition was mandatory in all public water supply networks. Thus, this study aims to demonstrate through literature review whether fluoride in public water supply is an option or an imposition on society. It is a bibliographic review study carried out after a survey of specialized literature in the area. In order to do so, a study was made of laws and policies that talk about water fluoridation in Brazil and its regions and mandatory requirements foreseen in the Federal Constitution. Concluded that fluoride in public water supply is an imposition and that fluoridation of the public supply systemically is a safe, effective and low-cost method.
