Industrial design using vegetation - it is not the body sketch, a complete cycle-to-market, in which analytical work is the key block. Design decisions cannot be isolated from the very philosophy of the brand and product positioning of plant science.
Abstract: Background: Diazepam is a medication of the benzodiazepine (BZD) family that is an extremely effective psychoactive drug with anxiolytic, muscle-relaxant, hypnotic, and anticonvulsant properties and is still used extensively to control anxiety. The present study was aimed to show the the effect of the diazepam (DZP) on the relationship between the behavioral scores of rats tested on the elevated plus-maze (ETM) with electrodermal activity (EDA) and which mechanism plays a more effective role on anxiety. \nMethods: Twenty rats were randomly divided to 2 groups as control (n=10) and diazepam (n=10). In cold exposed rats, diazepam was administered after cold application, when rectal temperatures normalized. Diazepam was administered 30 minutes prior to the ETM. The sympathetic activity skin conductivity was then recorded with Ag/ AgCl electrodes attached to the plantar surfaces of the posterior extremities for EDA measurement.\nResult: Statistically significant differences were determined among whole groups for the Tonic SCL, Phasic SCL, NEOA, NECA, TSOA, and % TSOA values of the control group were significantly different from the DZP group (p<0.05). \nConclusions: The current study showed that DZP exhibited an anxiolytic effect. After further studies, we are suggesting, DZP may be important drug for anxiety treatment.\nKeywords: Diazepam, anxiety, ETM, EDA
In the present scenario, customers are expecting more reliable, quality and economical products in the market, due to high competition in the global market. This paper presents a program for calculating the lean score of a particular industry by a fuzzy integrated Lean score model and gives suitable maintenance techniques for the better improvement of its performance. In this research he developed a systematic algorithm for the lean assessment of the manufacturing firm. He utilized the fuzzy logic condition rule for finding out the lean score or lean performance as he believes that the performance is the measure in degrees.
For a given finite set T of non-negative integers including zero, a proper vertex coloring is called a T-coloring if the distance of the colors of adjacent vertices is not an element of T. The T-span of T-coloring is the difference between the largest and\nsmallest colors and the T-span of G is the minimum span over all T-colorings of G. In this paper, we compute T-span and T-edge span of flower snark and rose window graphs.
This paper presents a solar photovoltaic (SPV) fed impedance or Z-source inverter (ZSI) based Unified Power Quality Conditioner (UPQC) for the alleviation of power quality (PQ) events such as voltage swells and harmonics with sudden switching a capacitor bank. The unit vector template (UVT) control technique is used to produce the reference voltage and current signals and controls the operation of SPV fed ZSI-UPQC. A novel hybrid technique also proposed for optimum maximum power point tracking (MPPT) with the combination of perturbation and observation (P&O) and incremental conductance (Inc) techniques. The response of solar PV fed ZSI-UPQC for mitigation of voltage swells and harmonics are investigated. The obtained MATLAB/Simulink results of the proposed solar PV fed ZSI-UPQC are compared with solar PV fed voltage source inverter (VSI) based UPQC (VSI-UPQC) and solar PV fed current source inverter (CSI) based UPQC (CSI-UPQC).
Gamma irradiation is accepted as a mango fruit postharvest treatment for controlling agricultural pests. However, there is little knowledge on the effects that this treatment produces on the fruit. In the present study, the effect of gamma radiation (0.15, 0.30 and 0.50 kGy) on the antioxidant activity of mango fruit of two different sizes, C12 (378-436 g) and C16 (284-291 g) was analyzed. Polyphenols content increased during storage in concordance with ripeness (11th day of storage). For caliber 12 the value was higher respect to caliber 16. Antioxidant activity measured by ABTS, DPPH and FRAP methods increased 153, 76 and 5%, respectively during storage. Lipids peroxidation assay revealed that gamma irradiation with 0.15 kGy and 0.30 kGy accelerates 1.71 fold the peroxidation process; while in fruit irradiated with 0.5 kGy the change was 4.3 fold. At the end of the storage period, there were no significant differences in lipids peroxidation levels neither between fruit size nor among irradiation doses.
The serum concentrations and pharmacokinetics of levofloxacin and danofloxacin in broiler chickens was compared following single intravenous (IV) or oral administration at 10 mg/kg of body weight (b.w.). Serum concentrations of levofloxacin and danofloxacin were determined by specific and sensitive high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) methods. Pharmacokinetic parameter values for both fluoroquinolones were calculated by non-compartmental analysis. After IV injection, the elimination half-life (T1/2) was twofold higher and the mean residence time (MRT) was threefold higher for danofloxacin compared to levofloxacin. The values for total body clearance (ClB) were 13.67 vs. 33.86 ml/min.kg and volume of distribution at steady state (Vdss) were 6.84 vs. 59.78 L/kg. However, area under the serum concentration vs. time curve of levofloxacin was greater than for danofloxacin. Maximum plasma concentration (Cmax) after oral administration was 1.41 and 0.59 µg/ml for levofloxacin and danofloxacin, attaining at one and two hours for both drugs, respectively. Systemic bioavailability (F) was 89% for levofloxacin and ˂ 100% for danofloxacin. Furthermore, the apparent volume of distribution (V/F) of danofloxacin was (37.92 L/kg) significantly higher than that of levofloxacin (15.40 L/kg). Following oral administration, the Cmax/MIC ratio of 14.11 and 6.85 and AUC/MIC ratio of 108.68 and 52.36, for levofloxacin and danofloxacin, respectively, indicates potential clinical and bacteriological efficacy of levofloxacin. Based on these parameters, a dose of 10 mg/kg b.w. of levofloxacin given orally every 24 h in chickens can maintain effective serum concentrations with bacterial infections with MIC90 > 0.1 μg/ml.
In this paper, a new approach based on semi-supervised classification for the epidemic risk management is suggested. Currently, this issue represents an important medical challenge. To manage this risk, we propose a decision support system using an expertise database shared between several hospitals. The system must be able to assist medical professionals in making quick and effective decisions in such situations. A hybrid classification approach using the SVM technique with an unsupervised classification technique (K-Means) is developed to automate data analysis. Prior to the classification process, we propose a data selection method based on Formal Concept Analysis (FCA) in order to select the best combinations for MSVM binary tree classification and to reduce the patient vectors dimension.
MEMS, integration of mechanical and electronic components with micro dimensions on a single platform. Miniaturized structures, sensors and actuators are the main functional elements in MEMS. Along with these functional elements, the elastic cantilever beam, membrane is the elementary structure in a MEMS system. The Microcantilever is a rectangular beam in which one end is fixed while the other is free to move. In this work the cantilevers designed are in the micrometer range. The research work is based on design of MEMS cantilevers for high sensitivity and further study of these microcantilevers for electrostatic actuation. COMSOL Multiphysics is simulation tool used for design and simulation of devices. It is observed that hole formation on fixed end of MEMS cantilevers gives better results in terms of sensitivity of the device. The comparative results show the respective change in resultant stress for different models. Electrostatic actuation is performed on different types of MEMS cantilevers i.e. with and without hole on fixed end. The designed microcantilevers are used in physical, chemical, biological and other types of sensing applications.
The possibility of the use of category-theoretic formalism to describe the underlying molecular events of ontogenesis: transcription, translation, and formation of protein structures is studied. A correspondence between these events and the category construction of pullback and pushout is established. The central role of the set-theoretic construction of bundle in the analyses of these events is demonstrated.
A design and implementation details of network integrated storage device is presented that includes a network integrated storage device for receiving storage access commands from host computers through a network. The device driver at the host for controlling the storage device through the network creates a virtual host bus adapter so that the host recognizes the storage device as if it is a local device to the host although the storage device is remotely connected to the host via the network. The storage device presented in this paper is showed that multitude of our devices can be integrated directly into the network in order to constitute the most economical and fast storage system for the parallel processing of huge data in Hadoop systems as well as in Cloud storage systems.
M-learning stands as a different way of learning and the use of WhatsApp appears to be an innovative and effective resource. The objective of this research is to evaluate the effects of the use of this communication tool in the academic monitoring, counseling and tutoring of university students in the Faculty of Education at the University of La Laguna. The process and development of this study involved the following series of tasks: a) A training seminar on strategies to promote learning through information and communication technology tools (ICT), b) Creation of learning communities to promote WhatsApp as a tool to improve academic monitoring, counseling and tutoring. A control group (N=120) and an experimental group (N=120) of first-year students were established (undergraduate students in Childhood Education, Primary Education and Pedagogy) with the aim of knowing the effect of the use of WhatsApp. On the basis of the data collected by teachers, the results obtained were analyzed taking into account the effect on a) Competences related to academic work and performance and b) Transversal Competences. In this sense, an ad hoc questionnaire was used to evaluate the development of both those competences related to academic work and performance and those transversal competences through the use of an m-learning tool based on peer tutoring. The results obtained have revealed important improvements as regards those competences related to time efficiency, planning and organization, and those related to active learning, decision making and motivation.\nWe consider that the results of this research will open up new paths in the processes of university tutoring. We also believe that this experience is a first approach to future research lines in the field of academic tutoring and counseling as regards university students.
Abstract \n The subject of the present work deals with integral representations of bounded operators, acting on linear spaces of vector valued functions. The function spaces we will consider are spaces of Bochner integrable functions, taking values in locally convex spaces. Any integral representation usually involves two main objects, that are, the integration process and the measure which performs the integration. We will focus attention on the structure properties of such processes and their corresponding measures.
The capability to perform an exploratory search and retrieval of relevant documents from a large collection of domain specified documents is an important requirement in the fields of research, education, marketing, sports, and other areas. Moreover the current retrieval techniques are effectively based on the full text matching, lacking in semantic information and cannot understand the user\'s query. These methods utilize Vector Space Model for similarity calculation; it calculates the similarity of each word and find out similar words in a document. In addition, VSM defines the similar words as two separate words which also increase the complexity of information retrieval process. Hence, these methods return a large number of irrelevant information and are unable to meet the user\'s request. In this research work, we propose a novel document for retrieval approach namely Semantic Based Vector Space Model to extract the information from the documents and to overcome the above mentioned issues in information retrieval. Our proposed mechanism consists of two major parts: they are Natural Language Process and semantic based vector space model. NLP is used to remove unwanted words in the document and Vector Space Model is used for representing the meaning of words with substituting synonym or relevant keywords based on the semantic dictionary. However, our proposed mechanism identifies the similar type of word and prefers a keyword which provides synonym of the word with the support of semantic dictionary. Finally, our proposed mechanism efficiently predicts similarity in documents.
The thermodynamic stepwise formation of twelve tervalent lanthanones ( La3+, Ce3+, Pr3+ , Nd3+ , Sm3+ , Eu 3+ , Gd 3+ , Dy 3+, Ho 3+, Er 3+ and Yb3+ ) with Carboxy Hydroxy Phenyl Hydrazo Dimedone (CHPHDM) and Carboxy Hydroxy Phenyl Hydrazo Aceto-acetanilide (CHPHAAA) have been evaluated potetiometrically in 75%(v/v) dioxane (DX) -H2O , 75%(v/v) acetonitrile (an) -H2O and 75%(v/v) dimethylsulfoxide (dmso) -H2O mixtures at 10,20,30 and 40 ?C. The values of the thermodynamic parameters ?Gn, ?Hn and ?Sn (n = 1,2,3) run according to the following order:\n-?Gan ? - ?Gdmso ? - ?GDX\n- ?Han ? - ?Hdmso ? - ?HDX\n?San ? ?Sdmso ? ?SDX\nIn mixed solvent molecules of both ligands coud be involved in solvation. The behavior can be discussed in terms of two limiting cases in which one solvent acts as better donor than the other , the relationship of the thermodynamic parameters of CHPHDM – Ln(III) and CHPHAAA- Ln(III) and ionic potential are increased remarkably from La to Nd then steadily decrease from Nd to Gd and therefore slightly increases values are observed until Yb. Such a trend has been explained on the basis of the difference in the dehydration from lanthanoid (III) between light and heavy cations.\nKEY WORDS: Lanthanons ions, schiff bases-ligands, thermodynamic parameters, ionic potential.

The aim of the present study was the production of a fast, simple, cheap and sensitive commercial kit for food authentication in Muslim countries. This kit is based on a duplex PCR method namely CP-Duplex-PCR with two pig-specific primer sets that relies on the use of an additional common reverse primer to increase the sensitivity of the detection of pork at a very low level. The results indicate the high fidelity, specificity and sensitivity of the new method as compared to the conventional - or C-PCR in which the detection limit of pig mtDNA in cattle mtDNA is as low as 0.1 ng. The results of individual and duplex real time PCR indicated that C-D-PCR harbors the same level of sensitivity. Detection limit of pig mtDNA in cattle mtDNA utilizing the new kit is as low as 0.1 ng. This information will allow us to construct a commercial kit for the authentication of halal meat in KSA and other Muslim countries.
